Description:	COVID-19 Scientific Interest Group Dr. Notarangelo is chief of NIAID's Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology as well as its Immune Deficiency Genetics Section. Prior to the COVID pandemic, the focus of Notarangelo's research was to characterize the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying inborn errors of immunity with the ultimate objective of improving diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. Since 2020, Notarangelo has turned his attention additionally to Pediatric Coronavirus Disease 2019 (pCOVID-19) and multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). Dr. Notarangelo will share his lab's latest progress in identifying distinct immunopathological signatures in pCOVID-19 and MIS-C that might help better define the pathophysiology of these disorders and guide therapy.
