Description: InTBIR started as a memorandum of understanding between the European Commission, Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to promote international standardization and collaboration between large natural history and longitudinal clinical studies and trials in TBI. InTBIR has been successful in initiating several multi-study collaborations as well as identifying areas for cross-study harmonization of protocols and common data elements.

In 2020 InTBIR will be transitioning to an investigator led organization to continue the mission of increasing collaboration, harmonization, information sharing, and research prioritization among TBI investigators across the world. This meeting will help determine the direction and next steps for the new phase of InTBIR.
