Dr. Clinton is the John B. and Jane T. McCoy Chair in Cancer Research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

The Stars lecture is titled "Food-Based Cancer Prevention Strategies: Is There a Future for Human Studies?" The objectives of the lecture are: to compare and contrast strategies for cancer prevention based upon nutrients, foods, and dietary patterns; to appreciate the critical steps in food processing and technology involved in the development of novel food products for cancer prevention; and to integrate food-based strategies into the cancer prevention effort, defining the optimal agent, the biomarkers, and the cohort.
