Description: | The Multiscale Modeling Consortium (MSM) celebrates 20 years of the Interagency Modeling and Analysis Group (IMAG)! In this 2-day “Past2Future” meeting, the Day 1 focuses on what IMAG/MSM has accomplished in its 20-year history and what lessons can be gleaned from past and current MSM efforts. Sessions will highlight the early MSM awardees, the path to model credibility, remembering those we lost, current projects and end with an Early Career Investigator Forum (mentor match). Day 2 focuses on the future vision of the MSM Consortium and its larger community. Sessions will discern how to: 1) synergize with major initiatives in IMAG, 2) increase justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in computational models, and 3) developing actionable plans for future directions in: digital twins, mechanistic-ML modeling, sociobehavioral and SDoH models, quantum computing, and translating models. Early Career investigators will be an important aspect of both days as they will serve as bridges between the past, present, and future. This meeting will be co-chaired by Dr. Jason Haugh, Dr. Denise Kirschner, Dr. Bruce Lee, and Dr. Herbert Sauro from the MSM Consortium. Attendees following the meeting remotely are encouraged to log into the IMAG wiki and post questions in the interactive agenda.
