Description: The Open Session of the 89th meeting of the National Advisory Council for Complementary and Integrative Health (NACCIH) will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, as a virtual meeting. The Open Session agenda includes presentations by: i) Helene Langevin, MD, Director of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) who will report on the status of NCCIH; ii) Helene Benveniste, MD, PhD, Professor of Yale School of Medicine who will provide updates from the Council Working Group on Spiritual Health; iii) Kathleen Sluka, PT, PhD, Professor of University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine who will inform on the Helping End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiative Strategic Planning process; iv) Kevin McBryde, MD, Acting Director of the Office of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs who will present the NCCIH’s Triennial Report on Clinical Studies and Representation of Gender, Race, and Minorities; v) Martina Schmidt, PhD, Director of the Division of Extramural Activities (DEA/NCCIH), who will reviews and will ask for approval of the NCCIH Council Operating Procedures; vi) and NCCIH Program staff who will present concepts for council clearance.
