Description: The NIH launched the INCLUDE (INvestigation of Co-occurring conditions across the Lifespan to Understand Down syndromE) Project in 2018 to study critical health and quality-of-life needs of people with DS. In 2022, the INCLUDE Project held the Building a Diverse Community for Down Syndrome Research virtual workshop to discuss Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in DS research (access the executive summary and videocast). The response to that event inspired the INCLUDE Project team to create the INCLUDE DEIA Webinar Series, allowing stakeholders from different communities to discuss DEIA lessons learned and help accelerate ongoing INCLUDE Project DEIA initiatives. This is the first event in that series.
