Description:	Despite spectacular advances in structural biology in recent years, significant challenges remain. One critical area is large macromolecular assemblies, which accomplish many of the core functions of the cell. To learn how these assemblies function, we must understand their structure. This symposium will describe the current state of research on the structural analysis of large macromolecular assemblies and the most important challenges that must be met to take our understanding to the next level.
