In observance of Deaf Awareness Month, the NIH will host a presentation with a keynote address by Dr. Lindsay Dunn, Special Assistant to the President, Diversity and
Community Relations, Office on Diversity & Community Relations, Gallaudet University. Dr. Dunn will address the relationship of being Deaf in Communities of Color and being a Person of Color in the Deaf Community.
What ramifications this has for NIH’s outreach for both employee
recruitment and public health education and patient recruitment will be discussed.
