Description: Mutant RAS genes are the single most important drivers of human cancer deaths. The NCI RAS Initiative was established in Frederick to act as a research hub with spokes extending into the wider RAS community. The first RAS Symposium in December 2015 was heavily attended and highly successful. We are organizing RS2 as a three-day symposium (Dec 6, 7, 8, 2017) to bring together RAS experts in areas ranging from structural biology to signaling pathways to novel therapeutic approaches. The meeting will feature invited presentations, short presentations from selected abstracts, and poster presentations. RS2 will be a community-wide meeting where researchers can gather to initiate and extend collaborations and share research results to continue strengthening the community efforts against the RAS genes.
