Description: SACHRP provides expert advice and recommendations to the Secretary, through the Assistant Secretary for Health, on issues and topics pertaining to or associated with the protection of human research subjects. The committee is composed of 11 appointed voting members, with additional ex-officio members from Common Rule federal agencies. SACHRP presently has two working subcommittees, the Subpart A Subcommittee (SAS) and the Subcommittee on Harmonization (SOH). The July 26, 2017 meeting will include recommendations from both subcommittees, including discussion of “context” as a consideration for single IRB review in accord with §_.114(b)(2)(ii) of the revised final rule, and institutional implementation considerations surrounding §_104(d)(4)(iii) of the revised final rule. Time is allotted for public comment.
