Description: The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute hosts a Sickle Cell Disease Forum on June 25-26, 2015 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus in Bethesda, MD. The Forum is designed to bring together sickle cell disease community stakeholders—including patients and their families, advocates, health care professionals, researchers, professional and community organizations, policymakers, government agencies, industry, and the media — to help chart the future of sickle cell disease research.

Panel sessions will address issues affecting those living with sickle cell disease, as well the potential role of various stakeholders in addressing these issues, including:
