Description: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is holding a public workshop entitled “Developing Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Therapeutics.” The workshop will be cosponsored by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health and the Alpha-1 Foundation. The purpose of the workshop is to foster the development of therapeutic products for the treatment of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AAT deficiency). The workshop will include presentations and a panel discussion by experts from academic institutions, industry, and government agencies.
