Description: Are you interested in learning more about how your scientific research can improve the health and quality of life of those around the world? Do you want your science to impact the larger global community? In our increasingly globalized world, what happens in distant countries often affects us all. From preventing the spread of pandemic diseases, to improving access to health care, nutrition, and health education, this seminar will highlight careers in Global Health and International Development and provide information for scientists seeking positions in these fields.

The panel consists of former bench scientists who have successfully transitioned into careers in Global Health and International Development and who have experience working in government, academic, and private institutions. They will share an inside perspective with attendees, including information about what their responsibilities are, what types of positions exist, and what you should be doing now if you are interested in getting into similar positions. Panelists will also answer attendee questions. This event is sponsored by FELCOM.
