Description: Celebrating Julie, an event to honor the life and achievements of National Institutes of Health scientist and Nobel Laureate Julius Axelrod (1912-2004). NIH Director Elias Zerhouni, M.D., and NIMH Director Thomas Insel, M.D., will host protégés, colleagues and friends for a day of scientific reflection on Dr. Axelrod’s discoveries in his long and successful career. Dr. Axelrod spent the majority of his 50 years as a researcher at NIMH.
