Description: The HHS Office on Disability Second Symposium on Housing for Persons with Disabilities, Understanding Universal Design and Access Modification, is co-sponsored with CMS, Fannie Mae, NCB Development Corporation, and HUD. Objectives are: 1) inform national disability organizations on their role in supporting members on housing accessibility; 2) understand universal design and access modification; 3) provide best practices and lessons learned from state/local community representatives; and 4) provide a roadmap on obtaining residential universal design and access modification for persons with disabilities. In person and webcast participant questions will be answered during the symposium.
