Abstract: (CIT): HHS-OWH and the Advertising Council are pleased to launch the first ever National Lupus Awareness campaign. This campaign is dedicated to increasing awareness of lupus to improve early diagnosis and treatment among those who are at increased risk for the disease. The campaign is targeted toward young minority women, who are most impacted by lupus and will provide them and their family members with information to help them to take action if they have symptoms. The campaign includes TV and radio PSAs, a website, bulletin boards and other media tools. The campaign will also generate long overdue public attention for lupus and raise recognition of the disease as a significant national public health problem.
