CANCELED - Is human fecundity changing? (Day 2)

Description: Global evidence suggests that human fecundity is changing, possibly as a result of environmental influences such as behavior, diet, sedentary lifestyle, pollution, and/or climate change. Fecundity impairments in men and women are reported to increase the risk of later onset adult diseases, and carry possible trans-generational risks. This body of emerging evidence underscores the many implications of human fecundity for health, more globally.

At this workshop, experts from a range of fields will examine current scientific evidence on the determinants of fecundity, secular patterns and trends and the broader implications of fecundity for health. Workshop participants will discuss global patterns of human fecundity, substantive and methodologic challenges underlying such study, and promising study designs and methods for future study.
