Description: Does sex matter for research and health? Get answers at “Sex Differences in Neuroscience,” a scientific symposium to highlight 2014 National Women’s Health Week. NIH’s Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) invites you to hear keynote speaker and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Director Dr. Story C. Landis and other leading scientists explore perspectives on the role of sex and gender in the brain and beyond. Other featured speakers include: Dr. Cheryl Bushnell, Associate Professor of Neurology and Director, Wake Forest Baptist Stroke Center; and Dr. Margaret McCarthy, Professor and Chair, Department of Pharmacology, Program in Neuroscience, University of Maryland School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Janine Austin Clayton, ORWH Director, will provide introductory remarks. Attendance is free. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Lipsett Amphitheater on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. The event will not be live videocast.
