Description: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued the final rule that amends the Public Health Service (PHS) regulation on Responsibility of Applicants for Promoting Objectivity in Research for Which PHS Funding is Sought (42 CFR Part 50, Subpart F), commonly referred to as the Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) regulation. An institution applying for or receiving NIH funding from a grant or cooperative agreement must be in compliance with all of the revised regulatory requirements no later than August 24, 2012.

The revised regulation modifies the requirements of the 1995 FCOI regulation in a number of important areas including Investigator disclosure and training requirements, institutional management of financial conflicts, and public accessibility requirements. This webinar will clarify those changes and provide a summary of responsibilities of the grantee institution and its Investigators.

There will be time allotted for questions from the audience.
