EVERY TIME DURING RUSH HOUR THE CAR CAME IN LAST. DEAD LAST. SOMETIMES AS MUCH AS 20 OR 30 MINUTES LATER. BUT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC I DEFINITELY DID A LOT BETTER WHEN I WAS ON THE BICYCLE, DEFINITELY DO A LOT BETTER. AND THEN OF COURSE METRO AND THE BUS WAS SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE, ROUGHLY AROUND 110. HOW MANY OF YOU WALKED AROUND THE CITY BEFORE AND YOU FOUND SOMETHING SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU WERE WALKING INSTEAD OF DRIVING. YOU EVER DO THAT. OH THAT'S A NEW RESTAURANT, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THERE. YOU'RE GOING FAST ENOUGH BY BIKE THAT YOU CAN GET TO WHERE YOU NEED TO GO AT A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD, EVERYTHING IS PASSING YOU BY. MAYBE YOU HAD A CHANCE OF FINDING THAT RESTAURANT IF YOU'RE ON THAT BIKE TOO. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I THINK WE TALKED ABOUT THAT ONE ALREADY BUT CAN I SAY ONE THING ALSO BESIDES $4 GAS AND INCREASING INSURANCE RATES. MY DAD RIDES NOW BECAUSE I ANNOYED HIM ENOUGH TO KEEP AFTER HIM. BUT WHAT HE DOES IS HE HAS A PART TIME JOB IN TOWN. HE LIVES 60 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE CITY. YOU'RE GOING TO RIDE A BIKE ALL THE WAY THERE? OF COURSE NOT. WHAT HE DID WAS AND WHAT I ASKED HIM TO DO WAS PUT THE BIKE ON THE BACK OF THE CAR AND DRIVE 59 MILES PARK IT, TAKE THE BIKE OFF AND RIDE IN THE LAST MILE. WHEN HE FELT COMFORTABLE DO THAT, NOW HE DID 58 MILES, DRIVING 58 MILES, PARK IT, RIDE THE REST OF THE TIME IN. MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO EXACTLY WHAT HE DID BECAUSE HE LIVES IN AN AREA WHERE THERE'S A GREAT DEAL OF PARKING BUT YOU CAN HAVE AT LEAST SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY, SOME PLACE WHERE YOU CAN PARK AND RIDE IN THE REST OF THE WAY. IF YOU HAVE SERIOUS BACK TROUBLE OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS SERIOUS BACK TROUBLE YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE RIDING UP RIGHT, MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY RECUMBENT BICYCLE, THEY'RE LEANING BACK ALMOST LIKE ON A COUCH. IT'S HARD TO START PEDALING UP HILL ON ONE OF THESE THINGS, BUT BESIDES THAT THEY'RE ACTUALLY QUITE FAST. I THINK CURRENTLY THE LAND SPEED RECORD FOR A PSYC CYCLIST IS HELD BY A RECUMBENT RIDER. I RIDE ONE OF THESE BIKES HERE IN THE CENTER EXCEPT IT'S A CYCLE CROSS BIKE. THIS IS A RACING BIKE. I WASH ONE WITH THICKER TIRES. THIS IS THE BIKE I RECOMMEND MOST PEOPLE RIDE IN THE CITY. RACING TIRES ARE VERY TINY AND IF YOU HIT A POTHOLE OR ANYTHING IN THE ROAD MARGINALLY LARGER THAN AN INCH YOUR TEETH MIGHT RATTLE OR SOMETHING. IF YOU HAVE A SLIGHTLY BIGGER TIRES LIKE A CYCLE CROSS TIRES YOU SHOULD HAVE NO TROUBLE WHATSOEVER. IT'S MUCH EASIER TO GET BUY IN THE CITY. THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT. MOUNTAIN BIKE. THIS IS WHERE I TOOK MY GREAT AUNT UP. HAS ANYBODY ON THE CCT. WE ALSO HAVE AN ORGANIZED RIDE EVERY YEAR FOR THE BLIND SCHOOL. THEY NORMALLY DON'T GET A CHANCE TO RIDE BIKES.
