WE ALL KNOW, HAVING BEEN A CHILD CARE CENTER DIRECTOR, YOU HAVE THAT 24-HOUR FREE AND YOU KNOW YOU CHILD PROBABLY IS BETTER BUT YOU HAVE TO KEEP THEM HOME, THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO USE THE IN-HOME CARE PIECE. BUT YOU CAN ALSO USE IT FOR WELL CARE. AS WELL YOUR CHILD DOESN'T HAVE TO BE SICK. YOU CAN USE IN-HOME CARE IF THEY'RE NOT AER IN CLOSE TO YOU AND NOT ONE THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE FOR YOU TO TRAVEL TO. WE TYPICALLY WILL GET HOME HEALTH AIDES AND PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTS AND NANNIES, DEPENDING ON YOUR NEED TO HAVE SOMEBODY COME INTO YOUR HOME. THEN THE IN-HOME ADULT ELDERCARE. THIS IS ONE AREA THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHEN THEY SEE BRIGHT HORIZONS OR HEAR ABOUT BACK-UP CARE, THEY THINK OF CHILDREN BUT IT'S NOT JUST FOR CHILDREN. AT IT ALSO FOR ADULTS. SO, IT CAN BE FOR YOUR SPOUSE OR PARTNER, FOR A PARENT, FOR YOUR ADULT CHILD, BUT IT ALSO CAN BE FOR YOURSELF, FOR YOU. THE IN-HOME PROVIDERS CAN COME TO THEIR HOME AND ASSIST WITH WHAT WE CALL ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING. SO, THEY COULD, AGAIN, PROVIDE MEALS DO SOME LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING, AS IT PERTAINS TO THAT CARE RECIPIENT. THE ONE THING I JOKE ABOUT YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM DO ALL YOUR LAUNDRY, BUT THEY CAN DO THE CARE RECIPIENTS LAWNRY -- LAUNDRY OR CHANGE SHEETS BUT THE ASSISTANT HAS TO BE RELATED TO THE RECIPIENT. SO IT CAN JUST BEING THERE, A COMPANION. THE OTHER GREAT PIECE OF THIS PROGRAM IS THE CAREGIVER GETS SENT TO THE HOME BUT THE PROGRAM IS NATIONWIDE. SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE IN THE SAME STATE AS THE CAREGIVER. FOR EXAMPLE, I ALWAYS USE THIS BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY WAS VERY HANDY, MY MOM BROKE HER HIP LAST YEAR. SHE LIVES IN BOSTON. I WAS ABLE TO SEND A CAREGIVER TO HER TO HELP MY SISTER BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T MOVE AROUND CAN. SO IT WAS GREAT BECAUSE ME BEING HERE, IT'S HARDER FOR ME TO GET HOME, BUT JUST TO HELP MY SISTER CHANGE THE SHEETS ON MY MOM'S WADE, BRING HER MEALS, GO UP AND DOWN, IT'S GREAT TO HAVE THAT SERVICE AND HAVE IT NATIONWIDE.
