Description: The Influenza A Virus shows enormous adaptability in the evasion of immunity that builds up in the human population resulting in new drift and pandemic strains. The emergence of new strains, the pathogenesis of virus in the human and animal or avian reservoir host, and the development of vaccines, including new methods to probe the antibody response to vaccines, will be addressed in the presentations and the discussions.
