Description: On May 5, 2015 NIH dedicated Building 4 in honor of Governor Lowell P. Weicker. Before becoming Governor of Connecticut Lowell P. Weicker served in Congress for 20 years. He worked tirelessly to expand funding for the NIH, advocating that better health research means better health for all Americans. His legislative activities, including early support for AIDS research, created a legacy of discoveries that have advanced the frontiers of medicine.
