Description:	Miriam Merad received her MD from the university of Algiers, Algeria and her PhD at the university of Paris IV, France. Her work focuses on understanding the function, the ontogeny and the homeostasis of professional antigen presenting cells and more specifically dendritic cells. She is today Associate professor in Mount Sinai Medical School, New York. The Immunology Interest Group (IIG) organizes activities designed to promote information exchange and interactions among NIH scientists interested in the field of immunology, broadly defined.
